The patient was required to change her lifestyle around hemodialysis then dialysate for the peritoneal area. In the 80 days she was in the hospital, her life changed completely. Angelica endured dialysis treatments for over a decade half before she could undergo an organ transplant. It was her mother who was the one to donate her kidney. The 13th of September, 2013, Angelica and her mom underwent an operation to transplant their kidneys at two remarkable hospitals across the street from each other: the Memory University Hospital as well as Children's Hospital of Atlanta Egleston.
